ity to read people based on their facial or body clues, along with spoken words, has proven to be effective and used today (do the research). What do you really think about my weight? Are you dating anyone else besides me? What you thinkin 'bout? These are just a few simple yes or no questions that we all take for granted. Although the mouth may say one thing, the body might be saying something else. And when your body does the talking for you, it doesn't lie! While you are using only a small part of your (conscious) brain to control what you actually want to say, subconsciously your mind is working and doing what its really programmed to do. For example, if you simply asked someone what were they thinking, and they said nothing. They could be telling the truth, or jus tellin you what they want you to know.
- A quick smirk, which only lasts a half of a millisecond, would alert the trained eye. Now the smirk doesn't necessarily mean that they are lying. They could jus be not telling the complete truth, or ashamed to talked about, etc. the lists go on.
The study of body language is a unique and extraordinary scientific gift. With the years of work ahead, this is an opportunity that is sure to pay off. I, Amex, have been studying facial and body clues, and its getting even more amazing and challenging everyday. I'm a long way from reaching my goal, but way ahead of any beginner. Its a process that I used repetitively everywhere I go. I'm constantly scouting a face to see what I can get from it. I may use it at a check out line, or a fast food restaurant where I'm sure to get the "extra attention!" Believe me or not, it works (do the frickin research)! As I just stated, I may not be ahead of my time as of yet. But with Dr Paul Ekman as my muse, I know I'm gone get better wit time!
Try it at home: Look at an old photo; look at the faces. What are they telling you?
